How much does a wedding DJ cost in the Chicago suburbs?

Karl's Basic DJ package is $1,550 for a 6-hour wedding and includes DJ and MC services, a professional sound system, dance floor lighting and a full planning consultation. Packages that add live cocktail-hour music start at $1,845.

Who will actually DJ my wedding?

Karl does — every time. Karl Knutson Boutique Entertainment is owner-operated. There are no subcontracted DJs and no 'whoever is available that night.' The person you talk to during planning is the person running your reception.

Do you MC the wedding too?

Yes. MC services are included in every package: grand entrance and bridal party introductions, toasts, first dances, cake cutting and keeping the timeline moving with the venue and your coordinator.

Can we choose the music and give a do-not-play list?

Yes. Every package includes a full musical and aesthetic consultation. You pick must-plays, first-dance and parent-dance songs and anything that's off limits, and Karl reads the room for the rest of the night.
